1, PV+

-- Photovoltaic modules which do not reach their guaranteed 20 years of operation lifetime are a nightmare for both manufacturers and system operators alike. PV+ Test – an independent comparison test set up by TÜV Rheinland together with Solarpraxis AG – now offers customers a way to compare and select modules.
The module test not only evaluates the products according to performance criteria, but also according to their ageing resistance, electrical safety, workmanship, the quality of the documentation, guarantee conditions and how easy the modules are to install.
Do you want your modules to be listed among the best?
Then get in touch with one of our test experts. All manufacturers are invited to participate in this testing.
The criteria for this extensive evaluation have been discussed and approved by an Industrial Advisory Council which was convened by the Division for Engineering Services of Solarpraxis AG, who are also responsible for publishing the “pv magazine”.

2, Bankability services

-- TUV Rheinland’s solar certification is aimed at providing investors and solar power plant operators with the greatest possible transparency, as well as confidence in the high quality of state-of-the-art photovoltaic systems, thus guaranteeing profitable, safe and long-term operation, as well as healthy investment returns. TUV Rheinland’s team of experts offers the testing and certification of solar power plants to investors and projects planners worldwide according to a comprehensive list of criteria. This independent testing and risk assessment is important for banks, insurance companies and providers of capital. , TUV Rheinland’s bankability program offers four different elements. The first is basic certification testing to the UL/ANSI and IEC standards. The second is a set of performance testing that identifies how a solar technology will perform in a given location. It looks at how the module performs in differing irradiances and climatic conditions. Reliability testing is the third element. We look at how the performance benchmark we set for the module is going to degrade over time. The fourth element is validation of the supply chain, where TUV Rheinland inspects factories, takes modules off the line, tests them for power rating, runs them through performance and degradation tests and establishes whether they meet the nameplate rating and initial certifications. The factory visit also includes a thorough production line check and a paper trail documentation audit.

3, PV buyers services

-- With the booming demand for photovoltaic (PV) products all over the world, the trading and installation of PV modules has become a popular and profitable business. Whether you are a sourcing company, a system operator, or working for an investor or bank and you are buying PV modules from China, Taiwan, the US or any other country, we provide holistic buyer service packages which include factory audit, sample tests, pre-production inspection, inline inspection, pre-shipment inspection & loading supervision. TUV Rheinland’s holistic buyer service package is the answer to your questions, regardless whether you are a sourcing company that is evaluating the opportunities to trade PV modules from China or you are a global player with GW installations in various markets, whether you want to expand your local market or target a new market, we are a trusted partner of the PV industry for over 30 years.
