OG&E and SunPower Announce 10MW Solar Plant in Oklahoma
OGE Energy Corp. and SunPower Corp. announced the two companies have signed a contract to build a 10MW (AC) solar photovoltaic power plant in Covington, Okla. Construction on the plant is anticipated to commence next month. -

Canadian Solar Energizes 52.5MW of Solar Power Plants in Japan
Canadian Solar Inc. announced that it started commercial operation of 52.5MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants in Japan in the first half of 2017. The 52.5MWp of plants include the 47.7MWp Mashiki plant, the 2.4MWp Yamagata Asahimachi plant, the 1.3MWp Shizuoka Tashiro plant and the 1.1MWp Saitama Shiroishi plant. -

EDF Renewable Energy Announces Acquisition of Solar Projects from First Solar
EDF Renewable Energy announced the acquisition of the 179MWac Switch Station 1 and Switch Station 2 Solar Projects from First Solar, Inc. in late June. The projects will sell their combined output and environmental attributes under three Power Purchase Agreements to subsidiaries of NV Energy, Inc.; Commercial Operation Dates (COD) for the two projects are scheduled for late July 2017 and late September 2017, respectively. -
