15 May 2013 – In March 2013 KACO new energy GmbH and Enerparc AG commenced a close collaboration. Since then several hundred inverters for solar farms totalling 34MW have already been delivered, and additional projects are nearing completion. 

May 16, 2013 - An international group of banks led by BayernLB has provided a financing framework totaling €85 million to Gehrlicher Solar AG, including €30 million for avals (guarantees), for another two years. The mezzanine capital of €6 million was also extended by Bayern Mezzaninekapital GmbH & Co. KG for the same period.

May 16, 2013 - SolarCity today announced a lease financing agreement with Goldman Sachs to fund more than $500 million in solar power projects; an estimated 110 megawatts in generation capacity for homeowners and businesses.

May 13th, 2013 - Scatec Solar today signed the final agreements with South Africa's Department of Energy to build two more PV projects totaling 115MW under the second round of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Program. The plant is geared for completion in October, almost two months ahead of plan.

May 16, 2013 - LDK Solar Co., Ltd. today announced that it has signed a wafer supply contract with Realforce Power Co., Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, LDK Solar will provide 120 million 6-inch wafers, totaling approximately 500 megawatts (MW), with shipments commencing in May 2013 through December 2014. 

- Overall performance in Q1 of €55.4 million – a two-and-a-half-fold increase on the previous year's quarter of €19.5 million - Strong project activity in first quarter will be reflected in sales and earnings in subsequent quarters

May 15 - Hanergy Holding Group Ltd. purchased London-based Engensa Ltd. to expand into the U.K. residential solar market.

Owens Corning (OC) and Constellation today announced the development of a 2.6-megawatt (DC) solar generation project that will supply clean energy to the company's thermal and acoustical insulation plant in Delmar, N.Y. Scheduled for completion in late 2013, the solar project is designed to supply more than 6 percent of the plant's annual electricity needs and will support Owens Corning's 2020 Environmental Footprint Goals for energy use and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. 

May 15, 2013 - Canadian Solar Inc. today announced the successful expansion of its partner Romano Sustainable Solutions in Africa. Romano was recently awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 360kW PV solar system installation. The roof top installation will be on the Johannesburg headquarters of Eskom.
