Suzhou Projoy Electric Co., Ltd. PEDS16-55A series DC isolation switch passed the Australian AS 60947.3:2018 and AS/NZS IEC 60947.1:2015 standard tests, and was the first to obtain TÜV Rheinland Local certification in Australia! This is also another new certificate of Projoy following the higher power 1500V/315A series of large-scale isolation switches!

In 2020, Australia issued the new AS/NZS 4777.2:2020 standard. Only inverters that meet the Australian standard AS/NZS 4777.2 can be used for photovoltaic system design and installation. This standard took effect on December 18, 2020. The old version of the standard list will expire on December 18, 2021. The latest version of the Australian standard AS/NZS 4777.2:2020 has been receiving attention since its release last year, which means that after December 18, 2021, all inverters that only pass the 2015 version of the standard test will no longer be eligible for marketing.

At the same time, the new Australian EESS (Electrical Equipment Safety System) policy requires that the solar inverter must be listed in the relevant certification list of the isolation switch that meets the use category of DC-PV2. Products that cannot meet the requirements will not be able to continue to be sold in the Australian market. It is also requires that all isolation switches must update the Australian DC-PV2 certification list before the end of 2021.

A few days ago, Projoy’s PEDS series isolation switches have been the first to obtain TÜV Rheinland Australia certification. The products have passed the AS 60947.3:2018 and AS/NZS IEC 60947.1:2015 standard tests. The use category DC-PV2 covers a variety of installation methods such as single-hole installation, panel installation, and external installation. The acquisition of this certification will legalize the sales of Projoy’s PEDS series isolation switches in the Australian market, and will also accelerate the listing speed of Projoy’s isolation switch for Australia DC-PV2 certification!
