Welspun Energy Pvt. Ltd. (WEPL) has ventured into the solar rooftop segment in a big way. The EPC company has successfully constructed three projects in record time. Through cumulative 795KW capacity, WEPL is reducing the carbon footprint by helping to generate an estimated 1,174,000kWh of clean energy annually.
WEPL had brought in its team of expert engineers to design these projects located in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Global Tier 1 solar technology has been used in this project for optimum conversion efficiency. The solar projects have been financed through 100% equity infusion, with inflow split in three phase – pre, mid and post construction. The prestigious projects have been set up to meet captive power needs of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur – 192kW, Ansal University – 100kW and Medanta Medicity Hospital – 500kW.
