    SunEdison and Firelight Close on Financing for 10MW Solar Project in Ontario

    SunEdison and Firelight Infrastructure Partners ("Firelight") are pleased to announce that they have reached financial close under a construction and term debt credit facility for a 10 megawatt (MW) solar project in Ontario. The project, which is currently under construction, is owned by SunEdison and Firelight as equity partners. Deutsche Bank acted as the private placement agent and the transaction was supported by a consortium of lenders.

    Due to the recent rapid expansion of photovoltaic power generation, China's national development and reform commission has increased the planning for photovoltaic power generation, which could be expected to reach 40GW. The SuperPoly STP305-24/Ve, with 15.7 percent efficiency, is ideally suited for large-scale commercial projects seeking a low levelized cost of energy (LCOE).     SunPower Extends Long-Standing Partnership with Toshiba

    SunPower Corp. today announced that the company has extended its long-standing partnership with Toshiba for the next several years. Under the terms of the master supply agreement, Toshiba will place orders of more than 100-megawatts (MW) for SunPower's solar panels to support the rapidly growing residential solar market in Japan. Since SunPower first partnered with Toshiba in 2010, it has delivered approximately 70MW of its high-performance solar panels.
