    Constellation and Amphitheater Public Schools to Construct 9.3MW Solar Project

    Constellation and Amphitheater Public Schools (the District) today announced the start of construction of a 9.4MW (DC) solar generation project in Tucson, Ariz. The solar power system, located across 24 school sites and support facilities, is expected to generate more than 60 percent of the District's electricity needs in the first year of operation.

    Etrion Announces Completion of Italian Portfolio Refinancing

    Etrion Corporation today announced completing the refinancing of a majority of the Company’s Italian solar parks with a Euro 222 million portfolio financing including long-term, non-recourse bank debt and project bonds.     Hanwha Q CELLS Reaches Grid Connection of 8.3MW Solar Power Plant in Turkey

    Hanwha Q CELLS Turkey has finished construction and grid connection of an 8.3MW solar power plant in Burdur, Turkey. The system is the first part of a project totaling 18.3MW. The construction of the second part, comprising 10MW, is expected to start in 2016. Moreover, the company has closed a USD 20.15 Million project financing for the complete 18.3MW together with Yapi Kredi Bank. Hanwha Q CELLS Turkey has been responsible for module supply, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and also is a shareholder of 50% of the power plant, with their partner Zen Enerji A.S. holding the other 50%.

    Recurrent Energy Secures Debt Financing for 157MW Texas Solar Project

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Recurrent Energy has closed on a combined construction and term debt facility, with a syndicate of five banks, for the 157.5MW)ac/ 212MW Roserock solar project in Texas. The project, developed by Recurrent Energy, is currently under construction. The electricity generated by the facility will be delivered to Austin Energy pursuant to a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.

    Solar Frontier and TSK Agree on 5MW CIS Project in Kuwait

    Solar Frontier and TSK announced today an upcoming 5MW CIS solar PV energy facility in Kuwait. The new CIS installation will be used to evaluate the performance of CIS in Kuwaiti desert conditions as part of Shagaya Renewable Energy Project. Solar Frontier will start shipping its CIS modules at the beginning of December of this year and TSK will handle the construction as well as operation of the site for the next six years. The new PV power plant is scheduled to begin operating from June 2016.
