    Recurrent Energy Secures Financing for 100MW Mustang Solar Power Project

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Recurrent Energy closed on a debt facility with Santander Bank, N.A. (Santander) and a tax equity investment commitment with U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC), securing financing for the 100MWac Mustang solar power project. Recurrent Energy will be the managing member and plans to own and operate the project, currently under construction in California.

    Canadian Solar Wins Five Solar Projects Totaling 185MW in Brazil

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that it has won five solar PV projects totaling 185MW In Pirapora, in the state in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Canadian Solar will develop and build the solar power plants which, once connected to the grid will sell the electricity generated to a Brazilian government entity, under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement at R$298.58/MWh (approximately $84.0 USD/MWh).

    Solarcentury to Build a 6MW Solar Farm for Ameland Island

    Solarcentury is to build a 6MW solar farm on Ameland Island in the north of the Netherlands. Solar Park Ameland will provide enough clean solar energy for 1,500 homes, reducing reliance on fossil energy from the mainland. Solarcentury will be responsible for the design and construction of the utility-scale energy system, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of the solar park. The solar farm will be built on Ameland's airfield, and energy will be fed into the local grid for use by local residents.

    Yingli and Namene Form JV to Develop Utility-Scale Solar Projects in West Africa

    Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Ltd. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Yingli Europe and Namene Energy International Limited have formed a new joint venture, Yingli Namene West Africa Limited ("JV" or "Yingli Namene West Africa"). The JV aims to develop a total of 100MW of utility-scale solar projects and up to 50MW of commercial rooftop projects in Ghana and neighboring countries over the coming years and Yingli Europe will serve as the JV's preferred solar panel supplier.

    Hanwha Q CELLS Closes Financing for Solar Projects Totalling 45.2MW in UK

    Hanwha Q CELLS today announced that it has closed the financing of two solar power plants in Cambridgeshire, England, totalling 45.2MW in capacity. The two plants, Green End (24.8MW) and Fenland (20.4MW), were both connected in March 2015 and therefore qualify for the UK Government's Renewable Obligation scheme.
