Yingli Green Energy to Power Europe's Largest Solar Plant
Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited today announced that it has signed a landmark agreement to supply 120MW of YGE 72 Cell solar panels for a 300MW project in France. Upon completion this will be the largest solar power park in Europe. -

Canadian Solar Completes Sale of 28.4MW Solar Plant in the United States
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that it completed the sale of the 28.4MW West Antelope Solar Park to Dominion. The 263-acre Project is located in Los Angeles County on the outskirts of Lancaster, California. The construction of the West Antelope solar power plant generated over 400 jobs between July and November 2014. Canadian Solar supplied 94,340 high performance CS6X-300/305P Quartech PV modules. White Construction was the provider of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction services ("EPC"). The total solar system output will be enough to power more than 6,100 homes and to offset a total of 31.5 tons of carbon dioxide. -

SPI Solar Announces Agreement to Acquire and Develop Solar Project in Japan
Solar Power, Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary SPI Solar Japan G.K., has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire 100% of the equity interest in a 22MW solar project company, including land dedicated for the project, located in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. The solar project will be owned and developed by SPI. The agreement also contains an option for SPI to develop up to 3MW of additional capacity on the same site. Construction is planned to begin in April 2015, with completion and connection to the grid expected in April 2016. -
