AEG Announces a New Contract for 240MW Solar Power Plants in Eastern Europe
30 January 2013 - AEG Power Solutions opens the year by announcing a major contract with a large Western European EPC. This deal is the third large solar contract in Eastern Europe that the group is awarded. It covers photovoltaic utility scale equipment and services for 240MW. AEG Power Solutions will provide complete electrical systems for nine photovoltaic power plants in Eastern Europe. -

Kyocera to Supply Solar Modules and Services for "Social Contribution Mega-Solar Power Plant Project" in Japan
28 January 2013 – Kyocera Solar Corporation (herein "KSC"), Plus Social Co., Ltd. (herein "PS"); and The Trans Value Trust Company, Ltd. (herein "Trans Value") have announced that they are working together to install the country's first-ever social contribution mega-solar power generation plant (provisional name: Ryukoku Solar Park). The 1.85-megawatt solar project will sell the electricity generated under Japan's generous feed-in tariff (FIT) and donate the profits to local communities, creating a model that provides funds to solve social problems while promoting the spread of renewable energy. -

Panasonic Completes Solar Project at University of Colorado Boulder
Jan. 25, 2013 - Panasonic Eco Solutions North America announces that it has completed a 500kW solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation installation at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU-Boulder). The system was developed and built by Panasonic with local support from Lighthouse Solar. Financing was provided by a subsidiary of Renewable Social Benefits Fund ("RSBF"). The new installation will help the university meet its short-term goal of powering the campus with green energy, reducing energy usage and cost, while fulfilling part of its long-term goal for a carbon-neutral campus, outlined in the pledge made by former CU-Boulder Chancellor G.P. "Bud" Peterson to the American College and University President Climate Commitment. -
