    Yingli Supplies 25MW Solar Modules to Arizona's Queen Creek Solar Farm

    On Dec. 10, 2012, Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited announced that its subsidiary, Yingli Green Energy Americas ("Yingli Americas"), supplied 25MW of solar PV modules to Arizona's Queen Creek Solar Farm. The project is owned by PSEG Solar Source, and was developed and built by juwi solar Inc.

    Suntech, Siemens and Mainstream Collaborate on 100MW Solar Projects in South Africa

    Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. has announced that it will supply approximately 100 megawatts (MW) of solar panels for two projects that are being developed, built and operated by a consortium led by Mainstream Renewable Power in South Africa. The projects, which are being developed at two separate sites in the Northern Cape of South Africa, will be designed and constructed by Siemens and will be operational by mid-2014.

    SolarWorld Solar Panels Power Large Array for Nevada School

    Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School, in Nevada, is now home to the state's largest school-based solar array. The 1.11-megawatt system, unveiled at the school's 39-acre Las Vegas campus this fall, features more than 4,000 solar panels from SolarWorld. Designed and installed by SolarWorld Authorized Installer Bombard Renewable Energy of Las Vegas, the installation demonstrates growing demand for rooftop and carport solar installations in a state often associated with sprawling, utility-scale desert solar farms.

    Hanwha SolarOne Signs South Africa's Largest Ever Solar Deal

    On Dec. 10, 2012, Hanwha SolarOne announced a 155MW solar module supply agreement with Cobra, Gransolar and Kensani. In the company's and South Africa's largest solar deal to date, Hanwha SolarOne will distribute its modules to the country's Letsatsi and Lesedi Projects, which were selected by the South Africa Department of Energy (DOE) in the first round of bids under the South Africa Renewable Energy Program.
