Ⅰ. Introduction: The Asian Photovoltaic Science and Engineering (PVSEC) conference series started in 1984 in Kobe, Japan, and has evolved into Asia’s biggest scientific-technical PV conference. Since 2006, it has been held internationally, moving annually to guest countries and cities that are highly committed to the adoption of photovoltaic (PV) technology. The main objective of the PVSEC conferences is to give all PV communities a platform to present their latest findings in their area of expertise mainly at the scientific level, along with topics covering product development, new products and market trends. PVSEC-26 in Singapore in 2016. The PVSEC-26 conference 2016 will be held in Singapore in October 2016 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The location is one of the largest, and most prominent, spaces within Singapore and is internationally well known for being a meeting place of people and ideas. Many market analysts are predicting that in 2016 the PV industry will have fully recovered, and that the PV sector will once more show healthy double-digit revenue growth numbers. Due to these excellent prospects, and the fact that PV markets are presently growing the fastest in Asia, it is expected that PVSEC-26 will attract not only scientists, but also industry players and policy makers in big numbers. In addition, PVSEC-26 will run in parallel with the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2016. This will give the delegates at the PVSEC-26 conference the possibility to explore other energy trends at the many additional side events that cover all types of renewable, fossil and mineral energy sources, with a strong presence of the Singapore financial services sector reflected at the events.
