Ⅰ. Introduction: The European solar market has exceeded 100GW of installed capacity however with much of this build-out driven by subsidy deadlines, what's the real value of PV assets in Europe, how are they really performing and which European solar asset owners are now in buying mode as they seek to optimise portfolios (or sell them)? Now in its second year, Managing European Solar Assets is the event where the European Solar Fund and Asset Owner communities meet to understand how to get the most out of their assets. There is much business to be won in 2018 as warranties continue to expire and asset owners look towards repowering, refinancing or new technologies to optimise solar portfolios. As EPC warranties continue to expire whilst some projects have 20-30 operational years ahead, asset managers and owners have a responsibility to ensure solar plants are optimised to provide the payback periods promised and meet Europe’s low carbon electricity demands. Managing European Solar Assets will discuss best practices to measure asset performance, develop strong KPIs, keep up to date with advancements in monitoring hardware and software, avoid hardware failings, and how to balance costs against service in O&M contracts. Uncover the top performing European and emerging solar markets, discover what to ask from monitoring services, what O&M clauses to include in your PPA, and how to aggregate monitoring data to improve long term forecasting.
