Greek Solar Energy: Conergy Power Plant for N. Kornilakis MEPE
For the second time within just a few weeks, Conergy in Greece is announcing the grid connection of a further solar power plant. The investor is the Greek company N. Kornilakis MEPE based in Magoula Attikis. Conergy has been responsible for the entire planning, engineering and design of the rooftop installation as well as for the supply of nearly 13,000 thin-film modules. -

Santerno Wins 155MW Supply Contract for PV Project in California
Santerno has been awarded with a supply contract for 155MW of Santerno skid inverter stations to be installed in an Imperial Valley, California solar plant. With the looming threat of insolvency, Konarka Technologies GmbH, based in Nuremberg, has filed for bankruptcy with Nuremberg District Court's bankruptcy court. Attorney Alexander Kubusch of national German insolvency administration firm CURATOR AG has been appointed as the preliminary insolvency administrator. -

KYOCERA Panels Start Operating at 2.1MW SoftBank Kyoto Solar Park
Kyocera Corporation announced that it has completed installation of its solar modules for the first phase of the SoftBank Kyoto Solar Park (Kyoto City, Japan), and that the approximately 2.1 megawatt (MW) installation began operation yesterday to coincide with the start of the new Japanese feed-in tariff (FIT) for renewable energy. The SoftBank Group subsidiary in charge of renewable energy business, SB Energy Corp., will be the operator of the solar power plant. -
