    Canadian Solar Announces the Sale of Two Utility Scale Solar Power Plants

    Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) (the "Company", or "Canadian Solar"), one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced that its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., entered into an agreement with a fund managed by BlackRock ("BlackRock"), whereby BlackRock acquired from Canadian Solar two utility-scale solar power plants totaling 20MW (AC) on September 30th, 2013 at a valuation comparable to other recent project sales completed by Canadian Solar on a per megawatt basis in the Ontario market.

    Winaico Provides 850 kWp Solar Plant in South Africa

    Photovoltaic module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd. from Taiwan provided a 850 kWp solar system in South Africa with its PV modules. It is Africa’s major on-roof system put into operation so far 3,400 WINAICO WSP-250P6 solar modules have been installed on the roof of a steel treatment company.The power produced by the system installed on the building of the steel treatment company Fast Flame Processing in Alberton is exclusively used for personal consumption. While the cost per kWh is about 0,03 EUR/kWh, the annual yield is about 2.100 kWh/kWp.

    ET Solar and Sunelectra Global Commissioned 4.2MW PV Projects in Ukraine Financed by EBRD

    Sept. 27, 2013 - ET Solar announces that it has completed construction of a 4.2MW PV power plant in Odessa, Ukraine. The power plant was financed through a 3.9 million euro long-term loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("EBRD") and a parallel loan of 1.5 million euros from the Clean Technology Fund.

    Kyocera Supplies 3.6MW Solar Modules for "Kizuna" Solar Park in Japan

    Sept. 26, 2013 - Kyocera Corporation announced that it has supplied 3.6 megawatts (MW) of multicrystalline silicon solar modules for the Okumatsushima "Kizuna" Solar Park in Higashi-Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Construction of the utility-scale solar power plant owned and operated by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. was recently completed and the plant went online in August.
