Dec. 18, 2012 - BYD Company Limited announced that BYD will supply 110MW of solar modules - a total of around 458,000 solar modules to South Africa for the two projects. By contributing 75MW to one of the largest solar station in South Africa and also the largest projectof BYD, BYD has supplied continually solar modules to Africa since November.The total 110MW solar projects are under the South Africa's first Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP). BYD also will continue tosupport the project developers development South Africa phase II and phase III projects. -

Suntech Solar Modules Shine in Desert Simulation Test

JA Solar Commences 40MW Solar Module Shipments to CTGNE
Dec. 17, 2012 - JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that it has commenced solar module shipments from successful bids totaling 40MW with China Three Gorges New Energy Corporation ("CTGNE"). The Company has signed supply agreements with subsidiaries of CTGNE for 40MW of modules, delivery of which is expected to be completed by the end of 2012. -

December 17, 2012 – Conergy reaffirms its project competency in the roof-top segment by building a large-scale solar power plant with a capacity of around 1 megawatt. The plant is being installed on six newly-built barn roofs in the Uckerland district in Brandenburg, Germany. Conergy are installing over 4,000 Conergy "P series" modules on a total roof area of more than 8,000 square meters. In future they will produce approximately 950,000 kilowatt hours of solar power per year, thus directly supplying the barns with clean energy from their own roofs as well as some 240 additional households in the surroundings. Conergy acts as general contractor and is therefore in charge of all stages from the engineering, planning and construction of the power plant, to the supply of the components. -
